Their agency have little to no power to promote them like giving them media exposure like other kpop agency. 7. All members don't have clean image, they drink, they smoke, they swear, all have tattoos & have lots of dating scandals. 8. Their agency don't just hand them their music or sound, or tell them what to do, cause the members participates in creating their own music. 9. Their fans doesn't really control them, nor do they let their fans control them. Both have equal power. Same with the agency. All 3 are in balance. 10. Other kpop groups have huge imbalance in power. The idols can't control their fans but the agency control the idols. They prioritize their consumers first rather than their product and the manufactured band is so replaceable.

People who condemn South Korean culture for this should realise a similar documentary could be made about American baseball in the minor leagues, young actors auditioning for roles in Hollywood as an unknown, people trying to make it as a musician, as a film director, or as a stage actor on Broadway. They think of them as idols for their life. They look up to them. They create the image that they are the perfect person to look up to, but when their picture suddenly crashes and they see that they are just humans as well, they get angry. Humans love to stay in their comfort of their delusion. "It doesnt matter as long as I dont know for sure", "becasue then I can dream about it how I want to" "and I do that, because I am unsatisfied with life". The idols have to be perfect, because the fans can't be perfect and the idol has to be better, than the normal human being, to be worth looking up to. For some it's a harsh comparison - but why do you think people see a god as a perfect being? Same reason. They want to look up to someone perfect, in order to feel better about themselves and life. To find answers. That perfect being "should" help them to get out of their misery. And they get angry, if the idol is humane, same with how meat eaters get angry, if a vegan tells them that eating meat is bad. Same delusion. And same way of trying to deal with someone trying to get you out of your comfort zone. They get delusional, because it would be harder to face reality.
